About Dr Pankaj Saxena

Dr Pankaj Saxena is a highly experienced Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon with more than 25 years of expertise in advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures. Currently associated with Apollo Hospitals Bilaspur, he is known for delivering comprehensive surgical care in complex heart and chest conditions. Dr Saxena completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery before pursuing MCh in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from PGIMER Chandigarh. He also holds DNB certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery, a PhD from The University of Western Australia, MNAMS, and FRACS qualifications, reflecting strong academic and international training credentials.

His special interests in cardiac surgery include Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) with arterial grafting, mitral valve repair, valve replacement surgeries, myectomy for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Maze procedures for atrial fibrillation, and other complex cardiac surgeries. In thoracic surgery, he specializes in lung cancer surgery, pleural disease management, Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), chest wall stabilization, mediastinal surgery, and trauma surgery.

Fluent in both English and Hindi, Dr Saxena is recognized for his patient-focused approach, surgical precision, and commitment to advanced cardiac and thoracic care.
