Dr. K. Nikhitha is a dedicated and highly skilled interventional Cardiologist with strong academic training and more than 9 years of clinical experience in managing a wide spectrum of cardiovascular diseases and 13 years in internal medicine. She completed her MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, followed by MD in General Medicine and DM in Cardiology from reputed institutions under Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
She has gained comprehensive experience through her training and professional journey, including her tenure as a Senior Resident in Cardiology at Government Medical College, Chandigarh. She further honed her expertise as an Associate Consultant at Paras Hospitals and later as a Consultant Cardiologist at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, and currently at Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore.

Her clinical expertise includes performing coronary angiograms and angioplasty procedures, pacemaker and AICD implantation, pericardiocentesis, and device closures. She is also experienced in managing complex cardiac conditions such as acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmias, and structural heart diseases.

Dr. Nikhitha has a keen interest in interventional cardiology and preventive cardiology, focusing on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices. She has been actively involved in academic research and has published papers in national and international journals, including work on Inclisiran therapy in ASCVD patients.

She has presented papers and posters at various prestigious cardiology conferences such as ICCCON and CSICON, showcasing her commitment to academic excellence. She has also participated in advanced workshops, including IVUS, OCT, and ECMO training programs, keeping herself updated with the latest advancements in cardiology.

She was awarded the IAMICON Gold Medal for being the best outgoing student in Internal Medicine, reflecting her strong academic foundation. Additionally, she received recognition at national platforms for her clinical case presentations.
