A flow cytometric and optical coherence analysis of the role of microparticles as determinants of plaque instability in acute coronary syndrome (FOAM study). Study explored the role of Microparticles in CAD and their potential to be used as a biomarker. Correlated global plaque burden as seen on IVOCT with the levels of microparticles and their pro-coagulant potential. This project was carried out in collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital & Thoraxcenter, Erasmus MC, Netherlands. Lead to MD Res award by UCL (5 publications and 3 abstracts from this research project. Abstracts were presented at EuroPCR - Paris, ESC - Rome and Optics conference in Netherlands))
