Nature of work included patient selection, arranging for investigations, carrying out the procedure of photodynamic therapy, assessing response and its complications under GCP guidelines. • Trained in designing, organizing, and conduction of trials as per GCP guidelines. Helped in designing the following trials :- • Assisted in designing a randomized controlled trial in Head and Neck oncology: Elective versus therapeutic neck dissection in early cancer of oral tongue. This project involved in taking liver tissue samples in patients undergoing liver resection for colorectal liver metastases. The specimens are collected at different time points to analyze alterations in the expression of genes. RNA and protein are extracted and analyzed. The thesis was submitted to University College Dublin, Ireland, in Jan 2013 and awarded MCh. Also involved in other research projects which were carried out in our lab : 1. “ Soluble CD1d: a novel receptor of iNKT cells and possible immunotherapeutic agent” 2. “Hepatic iNKT cell populations in perfusates obtained during liver transplantation” 3. “ CD141+ ( BDCA-3) Dendrtic cells ( DC) are depleted in Hepatitis C virus ( HCV) – infected liver”.
