Dr Apoorwa Gupta is a highly experienced Microbiologist and Infection Control Specialist with over a decade of expertise in clinical microbiology, hospital infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and laboratory medicine. She completed her MBBS from Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun, Uttarakhand in 2010 and earned her MD in Microbiology from Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS), Indore, Madhya Pradesh in 2016. For more than eight years, she has been working as Consultant Microbiologist and Infection Control Officer at Rajshree Apollo Hospital, Indore. In this role, she oversees infection prevention programs, antimicrobial stewardship initiatives, microbiological diagnostics, and quality assurance measures aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and reducing healthcare-associated infections.
An active contributor to medical research and public health policy, Dr Gupta has published multiple papers in indexed medical journals and has participated in the formulation of the Madhya Pradesh State Antibiotic Policy. Her professional interests include infection control, antimicrobial resistance surveillance, hospital epidemiology, clinical microbiology, and evidence-based healthcare practices.
