About Dr Jyoti Kala

 Dr Jyoti Kala is a Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a distinguished academic career. She has completed her MBBS degree from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College and Associated Hospitals (New Delhi) which is amongst the leading medical colleges of India. 

She completed her MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Rabindra Nath Tagore Medical College, Udaipur. Following her post graduation, she underwent clinical attachment and training at National University Hospitals Singapore and Parkway Fertility Centre, Mt Elizbeth Hospitals, Singapore. She has completed her Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India-AMASI)

She has trained paramedical and nursing staff from surrounding hospitals during her association with Pathfinder International as a trainer under the Raksha project for the Trainers Programme on Continuum of Care for Postpartum Haemorrhage from September 2009 to January 2010 at Udaipur in RajasthanShe was previously associated with Manipal Hospitals and Columbia Asia Hospitals Sarjapur Road ,Narayana Multispeciality Hospitals (Whitefield and HSR Layout) and St John’s Medical College, Bengaluru.

She has a wealth of experience doing normal vaginal births, cesarean deliveries, and vaginal births after cesareans (VBAC). She strongly encourages normal delivery and also handles high-risk pregnancies, like gestational diabetes, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, preterm delivery as well as in emergency situations.

She has expertise in performing surgeries in women, viz Total abdominal hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy, and emergency procedures for postpartum haemorrhage and ruptured ectopic pregnancy and laparoscopy and hysteroscopy procedures. She is also well experienced in the management of infertility and gynaecological disorders like abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, polycystic ovarian disease and ovarian pathology.

She is very committed to her profession and undergoes periodic skill improvement training and orientation to recent developments to be updated to current practices. She has taken part in several publications and seminars

 She subscribes to evidence-based management and follows international and national protocols in patient care.
