Dr Karthik Anand is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He currently practises at Apollo Hospital, Chennai, and serves as the Sports Surgeon for the Federation of Kickboxing India and the Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India.
He previously served as a faculty member in the Department of Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at the Centre for Sports Science, Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Hospital (SRMC), Chennai, for three years, during which he was also appointed as the Sports Surgeon for the Indian Squash Academy, Chennai. After completing his Master’s degree in Orthopaedics at SRMC, Dr Karthik Anand received extensive training in trauma and fracture management at Madras Medical College and Sri Ramachandra Medical College, before pursuing his passion for Arthroscopy and Regenerative Sports Medicine.
In 2017, he completed a Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Shoulder Surgery under Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. He later underwent overseas training in Arthroscopy and Shoulder Replacement at Dartmouth Hitchcock University, New Hampshire, USA (2019), and gained advanced experience in Foot and Ankle Surgery under Dr Yogesh Nathdwarawala and Dr Hiro Tanaka at the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Wales, UK (2020).
In 2024, he further expanded his expertise by training in Wrist Arthroscopy and Foot & Ankle Arthroscopy at Singapore General Hospital. He remains committed to promoting scientific training methods, injury prevention, and recovery excellence among athletes and active individuals.
