Apollo Medicine Journal
Apollo Medicine is an official open-access journal of Apollo Hospitals Group. It was conceptualized to provide a platform for researchers and clinicians to publish their research. Apollo Medicine is the official journal of Apollo Hospitals Group and being edited by eminent Editor Dr Raju Vaishya. We are proud to have completed a successful journey of 20 years of regular publication of this quarterly journal. It has provided a valuable platform for researchers, clinicians, and academicians to share and publish their scientific work. The contents of it are published online and as hard copies for the circulation journal. Apollo Medicine has a diverse Editorial Board of esteemed researchers and specialists, with 78 members from across the world, with a gender diversity of 28.2% of our members being females. 34.6% percent of the Editorial Board members are from overseas, and 58.9% are from outside the Apollo group of hospitals. We have already published 90 issues till now.
Apollo Medicine has been indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) since 2021. The research articles published in this Journal are recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India. It is also registered with several global abstracting partners, like Google Scholar, Hinari, etc, and publishes different types of articles, viz. Original Research, Reviews, Case Reports, and Clinical images. The journal is distributed to all Consultants of the Apollo Group, most Government and Private Medical Colleges across the country, medical libraries, and various subscribers around the world. Even though Apollo Medicine is an open-access journal, the authors are not charged any Article Processing Charges, and all cost of publication is currently borne by Apollo Hospitals Group.
In addition to four regular issues, in 2024, 1 supplementary issue was published to meet the increasing number of publications of this journal. We have initiated the publication of theme-based special issues for three years on a specific specialty, which are led by a Guest Editor of repute.
Apollo Medicine is now published by an international publisher, SAGE, and we have increased the publication frequency to six regular issues (w.e.f., Jan 2025) and occasional supplementary issues per year. The recent transition to SAGE is in line with our commitment to make this journal indexed by other prestigious indexing bodies like PubMed Central (PMC), Web of Science, Expanded Science Citation Index (ESCI), and Scopus. We are extremely thankful to our editorial board members, reviewers, and authors for their valuable support in making this journal reach its heights.
