Apollo Hospitals Bengaluru Earns Prestigious ISAKOS Recognition in Sports Medicine

Apollo Hospitals at Bannerghatta Road and Jayanagar, Bengaluru, have been recognized as ISAKOS-Approved Teaching Centres, marking an important milestone for their sports medicine and orthopedic programs. The International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) maintains an international network of approved teaching centres, and the certification is held by only a select few centres in India and around the world.

Led by Dr. Pradeep Kocheeppan, Senior Consultant, Department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta, the centres will focus on advanced orthopedic care, clinical education, and research-driven practice. The training encompasses knee, shoulder, hip, and ankle arthroscopy and arthroplasty.  

As ISAKOS-Approved Teaching Centres, the hospitals will provide healthcare professionals with structured exposure to patient assessment, surgical planning and procedures, rehabilitation, research, scientific presentations, and academic discussions. Integrating these elements into clinical training can help strengthen specialist skills and promote evidence-based approaches to sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
