Dr. Abhishek Hoshing has completed his ophthalmology training from the prestigious Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. He pursued further training in Cornea and Anterior segment diseases, Ocular immunology and Refractive surgery from L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad. During his training and subsequent practice as a Cornea Specialist he has performed more that 400 corneal transplant surgeries, which include full thickness and partial thickness corneal transplants for a variety of corneal diseases. He also specializes in treating complex ocular surface conditions like sequelae of severe Chemical Burns, Stevens Johnson Syndrome, Ocular Cicatricial Pemphigoid and severe Dry Eyes.
Dr Hoshing is also adept in diagnosing and treating Corneal ectasia conditions like Keratoconus; ocular inflammatory conditions like Scleritis and Episcleritis and Anterior Uveitis. He consults regarding and performs refractive surgeries like LASIK and PRK too.
Dr Hoshing has presented many papers in scientific fora and has many publications in peer reviewed national and international journals to his credit. He is also a reviewer for scientific journals.
