Overview
Dr. Nikhil Agrawal is a dedicated GI-HPB Surgical Oncologist with over two decades of experience managing some of the most complex cancers of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, stomach, esophagus and biliary system. Unlike general surgical oncologists, his practice is exclusively focused on this high-risk, technically demanding domain.
He has not only treated advanced and anatomically challenging tumours but has built and led GI-HPB oncology programs at leading institutions including ILBS, Dharamshila Narayana, and Max Saket—helping shape structured, minimally invasive cancer surgery pathways in India. A certified robotic surgery proctor, he trains other surgeons in complex robotic procedures.
At Athenaa, his presence means patients gain access to highly specialized surgical judgement—where decisions are thoughtful, evidence-driven, and individualized. For patients facing difficult or borderline operable cancers, this depth of expertise can significantly influence surgical safety, recovery, and long-term outcomes.
